Hello and welcome! I'm Charlotte, a professionally trained, qualified person-centred existential therapist based in Chessington, Surrey. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I understand that everyone is individual and there is no 'one size fits all' in therapy, so I tailor my work to suit each person, helping them to find their own way towards a happier and more fulfilling life. I am offering a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space and will work at a pace to suit you.
I work with adults 18yrs + in the UK via telephone or online video (Zoom ) in a confidential space in my home. I have been working this way for quite some time and it has been proven to be an effective way of working, enabling me to offer my services to people all over the UK. Sessions are for 50 minutes and cost £50.
As well as my private practice, I am also a volunteer counsellor with a local charity. I have personal experience of a variety of life challenges, including anxiety and depression, but I respect the fact that your lived experiences will be personal to you.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I spent 16 years working with the police services of England, Wales, Scotland and NI. I assisted with some work on mental health in the service, with a welfare helpline and other mental health support. I have always had an active interest in mental health, which lead to me becoming a counsellor.
